WHAT IS ACRYLIC STONE?

   From the year it was launched on the market (1967), acrylic stone has revolutionised the kitchen and bathroom countertop industry. It offers the same benefits of natural stone without the drawbacks of other synthetic or semisynthetic materials, it can be moulded into any kind of shape and it can be worked like wood. 


   Acrylic stone is a non-absorbent and non-porous composite material belonging to the solid surface category. It is composed of roughly twothirds aluminium hydroxide and one-third high quality acrylic resin, with the addition of small quantities of coloured pigments if required. 


   Acrylic stone does not discolour when exposed to direct sunlight and will stay like this for a number of years. The material is very long-lasting and more than capable of withstanding the rigours of daily use. 
   
   All of the above qualities make acrylic stone the ideal solution for almost any indoor or outdoor application, not forgetting the wide range of shapes, sizes and colours available.
